Create an Organization

Learn how to create a new organization in Wordiy.

Steps to Create an Organization

1. Sign Up or Log In

If you don't have a Wordiy account yet:

  • Visit wordiy.dev
  • Click "Sign Up"
  • Choose sign up method (email or OAuth)
  • Create your account

2. Navigate to Organization Creation

After logging in:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Create Organization"
  3. Or go directly to the organizations page

3. Enter Organization Details

Fill in the following information:

  • Organization Name — Your company or team name
  • Organization Slug — URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated from name)
  • Website (optional) — Your company website
  • Description (optional) — Brief description of your organization

4. Verify Email

You'll receive a verification email. Click the link to confirm your organization.

5. Start Using Your Organization

Once verified:

  • You're automatically set as the Owner
  • Your organization dashboard is ready
  • You can start creating projects and inviting members

Organization Naming Tips

  • Use clear, descriptive names — "Acme Corp Translations" is better than "Project X"
  • Include context — If you have multiple organizations, include department names
  • Keep it concise — Shorter names are easier to type and remember

What's Next?

After creating your organization:

  1. Invite team members — Add translators, reviewers, and managers
  2. Create your first project — Set up a project for your application
  3. Configure settings — Set up integrations and preferences
  4. Upload strings — Start adding your translatable content

Organization Limits

Your plan determines:

  • Maximum number of organizations
  • Maximum projects per organization
  • Maximum team members
  • Storage and bandwidth limits
